If we add Amazon, the 8th most valuable company of the world, Hyderabad will have the enviable distinction of hosting 5 of the top 10 Fortune 500 companies.
Apple, one of the world’s richest corporate houses, has established its world’s next largest technology development centre outside the USA in Hyderabad at a cost of Rs 175 crore. The centre is likely to provide direct employment to 4,500 techies.
Based in the USA, the company set-up its first office in India in Hyderabad in 2010.
It needs no introduction. Google proposed an investment of Rs 1,000 crore to establish its South Asia’s biggest development centre in two million square feet facility at Gachibowli in Hyderabad.
Microsoft started its operations in India back in 1990 and gradually India, specifically Hyderabad, has seen a lot of investment inflow. Also India Development Center in Hyderabad is its second largest development center outside the US facility.
Amazon, world’s eighth largest corporate, which had already set up its Asia’s largest warehouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad, has its biggest development center outside the US here in the City of Pearls with an investment of $2 billion.
